And The Oscar Goes To...

Could anything be more exciting than the Academy Awards? This mystery takes place on the night before the big night during the private party that Columbus Studios is throwing to celebrate their 7 nominations including "Best Picture" for the studio's blockbuster hit "Back When I Loved You". Your host and hostess is Shemar Moore (played by Devlan Brown) and Kristen Vangsness (played by Nancy Compton).

You will meet the three stars of the film,(all nominated), the director, the producer, the costume designer and the public relations manager. Anyone would think that on a night such as this everyone would get along. But someone isn't waiting until tomorrow night for their dreams to come true.

A fond, funny and sometimes irreverent look at the movie business, this is a scripted dinner-theatre type presentation running approximately 1 1/2 hours that gives everyone a chance to live the life of a Hollywood star! Choose to be one of the actors or an "extra". Get out your fancy clothes.

As always ticket includes drinks and appetizers and professional photographer on site to get some great pictures of you and your date. Be ready to be interviewed and video taped as you walk the red carpet. Swag bags to all who attend.

Mark Bridgeland - Played by Owen Standley

This temperamental designer hates all actors and directors but acknowledges that without them there would be no call for her marvelous designs. She has been nominated nine times in the past and has never won. Like many creative people, Diedra is very superstitious and she has all her lucky charms in place to finally assure a win tomorrow night.

Brian Columbus - Played by Eric Jarabak

Head of Columbus Studios, Brian is used to being listened to and obeyed. He enjoys the good life that his successful studio has given him and lives the lavish lifestyle of a big Hollywood studio-owner.

Cynthia Columbus - Played by Becky Faidley
the producer's wife and studio publicist

Although she now works at Columbus Studios as their head publicist, Cynthia is an aspiring screenwriter. Cynthia will become "the detective" after the murder has occurred.

Simon Wetherby played by Ran-D Collier

Simon is an unemployed actor with plenty of ambition. His charm and charisma has had Elizabeth fascinated for the last few months, but he is more fascinated with making contacts and getting his first starring role. He is plagued with money troubles and being Elizabeth's escort has eased his way to being seen by the 'right' people. Simon is confident that his appearance at the awards tomorrow night will start his career off with a triumphant bang.
